Edwardian diamond ring, c1910
This fine diamond ring suits every finger we’ve seen it on.
It’s Edwardian – from about 1910 – but it harks back to Georgian times; just missing the blue background of glass or enamel that was so popular 130 years earlier in the bagues au firmament (rings of the heavens).
The use of platinum rather than silver for the top setting, the millegrain beading and the fineness of the band place this firmly in its own time.
It’s a very handsome and eye-catching ring.
